July 23rd-28th

This week we will be practicing at Texa-Tonka Park at 2750 Virginia Ave So in St. Louis Park. There is a parking lot at Victoria Lake on 28 th and Virginia. Monday we will play at 7:30 and on Wednesday we will take the field at 7:00. To help us pay off Bossen Park and the nets that we ordered we are asking for a 5.00 donation. This isn't required but helps us take care of some obligations that we owe. Map:

Tuesday the Flamingos will take on the Soccer Sprecco at 6:00 at Neiman Field. I probably won't make it but I'm sure you guys will do awesome. Please bring an orange and a white shirt Also, remember to bring shin guards and cleats if you have them.

This Saturday the Pineapples will be playing but the schedule hasn't been posted as far as time that we will be playing. When the information comes out I will email out the information. Of course, if you have any female friends that would like to come and play, please bring them along. I know of at least two women that won't be able to make it this week.

A couple of other notes, John will be ordering the jerseys this week for those of you that paid for them. Please make sure you confirm your size with him. It sounds like we will have an event at Camp to hand them out.

Soccer for July 16th-21st

This week we will be playing at Texa-Tonka Park at 2750 Virginia Ave So in St. Louis Park. There is a parking lot at Victoria Lake on 28th and Virginia. Monday we will play at 7:30 and on Wednesday we will take the field at 7:00. To help us pay off Bossen Park and the nets that we ordered we are asking for a 5.00 donation. This isn’t required but helps us take care of some obligations that we owe. Map: Map to Texa-Tonk Park

Tuesday the Flamingos will take on the Green Machines at 6:00 at Neiman Field. I probably won’t make it but I’m sure you guys will do awesome. Please bring an orange and a white shirt (probably won’t need a white shirt since I assume their team color is green). Also, remember to bring shin guards and cleats if you have them.

If you haven’t heard by now, Camp has sponsored the Flamingos Team. To show them support we are planning on going there on Saturday. We haven’t had a bar night in awhile that has been planned out so this would be a great way to socialize with your fellow soccer players. Show up whenever but I will try and be there around 10:00.

This fall we are putting together an 11 man team for the Minneapolis Parks League. JB is currently working on getting us registered. There may be a fee associated for each team member who wishes to play unless we can get sponsorship for the team.

As always, new players are welcome to join in. We’re always looking for more people, especially women for our Saturday games. Feel free to email us at mnglbtsoccer@gmail.com

Wednesday Night GLBT Soccer

New players are welcome to join us.

We will be practicing and scrimmaging as Wednesday Night GLBT Soccer starts up again after a break for the 4th of July holiday. We will start at 7:00 PM on Wednesday July 11th. The soccer field is located at Keystone Park on Alabama Ave S. in St. Louis Park. Click the link above for a Google map to that location.

Since it is the first time we have met at this field, and we have not checked with the City of St. Louis Park, if there is a conflict and the soccer field is occupied, we will use the nearby Texa-Tonka Park, as a back up location. Texa-Tonka Park is where we have been playing the past couple of Mondays.

A water bottle would also be a very good idea.

Monday Night GLBT Soccer

New players are welcome to join us.

We will be practicing and scrimmaging as Monday Night GLBT Soccer continues. We will start at 7:00 PM on Monday July 9th. The soccer field is located at Texa-Tonka Park, 2750 Virginia Ave S. in St. Louis Park. There is a parking lot at Victoria Lake on 28th and Virginia. Click the link above for a Google map to that location.

The field is short, but is in really nice condition. It has lines and goals and nets. When we arrived last week there were kids practicing on it. We warmed up and ran drills for about 1/2 hour off the field until the kids and their parents left. Then we took the field and played to our hearts content.

Monday Night GLBT Soccer

The soccer group will be practicing and scrimmaging tonight, and things will be a little different than the last few weeks.

First off, we will start at 7:00 PM tonight instead of 6:30 PM. This should allow people to avoid most of the rush hour traffic.

Also new is that we will be playing at a different field. The field we will be trying tonight is in St. Louis Park. The soccer field is located at Texa-Tonka Park, 2750 Virginia Ave S. in St. Louis Park. There is a parking lot at Victoria Lake on 28th and Virginia. Click the link for a Google map to that location.

Also please note that we will not be meeting this week for Wednesday Night GLBT Soccer since it is the 4th of July holiday.

Members of the Flamingos team should also note that there is no game scheduled for Tuesday of this week.
